The Kingman Turquoise Mine is the last Full time Turquoise Production Mine in the United States. It is located in The Acerbate Mountain 14 miles northwest of Kingman Arizona in Mohave County. Evidence Shows that Turquoise was mined in the area as far back as 600 AD. The Kingman Turquoise Mine produces several distinctive colors along with the Ithaca Peak Mine and Turquoise Mountain Mine all under The Kingman Mining Operations. The area has a long and rich history of turquoise mining in the United States.
